Kudurs of Solontsovsky paleovolcano in the Taiga River Basin, East Sikhote-Alin
The paper characterizes mineral and chemical composition of the zeolite volcanic and volcanosedimentary rocks within Solontsoviy paleovolcano which are actively used by wild animals as a mineral supplement to the formation of characteristic landscapes – kudurs. The obtained data are compared with the results of similar studies in other parts of the Sikhote-Alin and beyond. Based on a quantitative comparison of the chemical elements in the rocks and in the feces of animals, which are almost made up of zeolite, the reasons for lithophagy are discussed.

The biological effects of nanoparticles of lithium
Biological effects nano-size particles of lithium carbonate on intact CBA line mice were evaluated by methods of light, electron microscopy and biochemistry. It is shown that intramuscular injection of nanosized nanoparticles of lithium carbonate increased activity of lipid peroxidation in muscle thigh, resulting tissue necrosis at the site of the subsequent development of regenerative processes and angiogenesis. Nano-size particles of lithium carbonate accumulated in damaged muscle fibers, muscle tissue macrophage phagosomes hip and phagosome hepatocytes. After one and five-fold injection of nano-sized particles of lithium carbonate in the thigh muscle anaerobic glycolysis is activated. As it is evidenced by the accumulation of lactic acid. Hydrolysis of triglycerides was registered after single injection of nano-sized of lithium carbonate particles, the levels of these lipids in muscular tissue decreased in four times and accumulation of these lipids was noted after the 4 and 5-fold unection of nano-sized particles. Injection of nano-sized of lithium carbonate particles caused system metabolic changes: provides increased utilization of lactic acid in the liver into glucose and then usts it in the synthesis of glycogen and triglycerides. Intramuscular injection of nano-sized lithium carbonate particles didn't cause significant damage to the liver. It is evidenced by the lack of significant increase in the levels of lipid peroxidation products and activity of arginase involved in the disposal cycle of decay products of tissue proteins.

Silaffins - matrix proteins of biomineralization of diatoms
This review is devoted to silaffins, recently opened the template peptides and proteins involved in the formation of silica shells of diatoms. Detailed description of the nomenclature, chemical nature, mechanism of action, as well as practical application silaffins are shown. The article includes interesting illustrations of the original works.

Natural changes in plant and animal life in the Bikin River basin by climate factors
In this paper the authors identified the most visible evidence of changes of the last 40 years in the flora and fauna in the upper part of the Bikin River basin and adjacent areas. Authors argue that these changes with a high degree of probability connect with climate factors. Problem of adeeper study of discovered patterns is very important.

The composition of output and the value of wild boar (Sus scrofa) in the diet of the Amur tiger (Panthera tigris altaica) Central Sikhote-Alin
Investigation of preys type, content of wild boar and other preys in tiger's intake was being held in 1992–2010 years within Sikhote-Alin Reserve and neighboring territories with using data (611 preys, among it 508 preys of radiocollared tigers) of 29 tigers radiotracking, transects and control areas surveys. Regression and factor analyses were used. 4 species of ungulates built the basis of preys (95 %), red deer and wild boar made 78 %, with prevalence of red deer over wild boar in 1,9 times. Diet of predator is stable in its basis components in conditions of diverse dynamics of basic and additional food sources abundance. The significance of secondary food sources increased with the decreasing of wild boar and red deer populations, abundance growth of sika deer and roe deer. Almost the same content of wild boar (26,5–27,8 %) in tiger’s diet was noticed within the territories with different density of wild boars. Description of selectivity in tigers diet to sex and age of wild boars was given.

Results of muskrat (Ondatra zibetica L.,1766) acclimation in the North-Eastern Yakutia
In September 1943 Srednekolymsky area to the Lamutskoe lake right bank of the Kolyma River 18 muskrats including 9 females were released for acclimatization, near the town Srednekolymsk. Further distribution of muskrats in North-Eastern Yakutia was due to Srednekolymsky population. The commercial harvesting of muskrats in the region began in 1948. In this year, 2,1 thousand animals were caught in the Srednekolymsky area. The maximum number of muskrat skins (410 thousand units) was got in 1969. In subsequent years it started to reduce. Over the last 22 years the average annual harvesting of muskrat skins, comparing to 1970–1979 (281,8 thousand) and 1980–1989 (189,5 thousand), decreased to 5,0 and 3,4 times. Reducing of muskrat skins pieces relates to the weakening of the fishery because of the low purchase prices for muskrat skins.

Impact of environment on the distribution of thyroid disease in Primorye
In the paper results of ecolgy-hygienic estimation of thyroid gland pathology distribution in the Primorye Territory are presented. The analysis has shown, that levels of desease of various forms depend on bioclimatic zone, ecological and geochemical situation. Various correlation degree between chemical elements (nickel, zinc, arsenic, silver, cobalt, lead) concentration in ground and pathology level of thyroid gland of adults, teenagers, children are established. Teenagers and adults pathology maintenance in objects of environment. Arsenic, cobalt, lead which are expressed toxic, influenced with on the high desease level of the given groups.

New in the study of modern problems environmental science and ecology, including research on water ecosystems and organisms
This paper is a comment and evaluation of series of innovative papers and books published by a researcher ща M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Dr. S.A. Ostroumov, on modern issues of ecology and environmental sciences. This series of publications discovered new important facts on environmental hazards ща synthetic surfactants and detergent. Also these publications presented a modern theory of water self-purification by aquatic (freshwater and marine) ecosystems. Also, a new scientific discipline – biochemical ecology – was created in S.A. Ostroumov’s publications. The recent publications contributed to development of the scientific basis for innovative technologies for water purification and water quality improvement.
